Fallen Warriors
Apart from those rotten apples, we should not forget that there are also those who see it as a noble thing to be a policeman. They joined despite the lack of prestige in the eye of society in general, they survive on what the society sees as low pay, they treat what society sees as shabby living quaters as benefit of their job, they did not demand for appreciation, they did not stage protest and scream for fairer treatment, and they did not complain about having to face dangerous situation and violent people in their daily work. Like us, they too did not expect the day to be any different from the rest. They woke their kids up, prepared them for school, shared a few jokes and laughter with family during breakfast, promised to see each other again at the end of their day, and then said goodbyes to each other before starting their daily routine.
