What happened to "mutual respect, sincerity, ready to talk and listen" ?
How do we discuss things in an open manner so that many problems such as religious issues can be solved ? Who is trying to dominate, rule over and force their power upon other races ? Who is compromising safety, peace, harmony and stability of the country ? Who is stoking the 'fires of disunity' ? A lady likes to wear shorts because she feels good about her great pair of legs thanks to great genes from her parents. This is a problem in Malaysia because some people cannot control their own lust and constantly think of raping her. Despite being aware of the danger, she insists on being herself because she's not indecently dressed or exposed, she believes in her own rights and freedom as accorded in the rule of law and federal constitution, and she's very sure it's not her problem because as we all know, even babies, grandmothers and 'sufficiently covered' women have been raped. Some people may argue that babies asked for it since they're mostly naked or topless, but again it demonstrates that the problem doesn't lie with the victim. If the authority knows someone will get raped today... If the authority already knows who the victim will be this time... If the authority already knows the time and venue... If the authority is already at the scene of the crime waiting for the suspect... If the authority already sees the suspect, knows what he's going to do, where he's going to do it, and when he's going to do it... In the above hypothetical scenario, will the authority escort the criminal to where the victim is and then watch the victim being raped? After the deed is done, will the authority then consider whether ISA should be used against the victim for what they see as "causing" the rape to take place? |
