Solen skiner - Enjoying the sun

After experiencing coldness for the past 5 months, we're finally getting some warmth. The day is getting longer too. There're a couple of times when I woke up thinking I'm late for work because the sun is already shining brightly through the window at around 5am. And at night, we sometimes forget that it's already late because there's still light outside. It doesn't get completely dark until around 10pm. Nobody is complaining, we can see the Swedes love the sun. So many people out walking, enjoying their meals at various roadside cafe, sitting around basking in the sun along the waterways, and generally wearing very little...

We too enjoy eating at roadside cafe.

And people-watch at the same time....

There's some sort of parade today by one of the universities in Stockholm. Students "expressing" themselves in interesting ways

Spotted a live specimen of the new K1200GT

This is what it looks like outside at around 9pm at night.

Wife found another brand of laksa paste today, so we had it for dinner. It looks good, due to wife's extraordinary skill.

But it taste so bad, we didn't finish it. The paste sucks. Singapore should sue the manufacturer of this laksa paste for tarnishing its name.

The next day, on Sunday, I made pancakes again. Tried a different way to make it this time.
With pretty egg yolks...

Beat the hell out of the egg whites, so pretty too.

End result, not so pretty.

So down it goes to where it belongs, the trash bin.

Wife is very happy I failed to upstage her in the kitchen, says I should leave all cookings to her since I will end up wasting her ingredients. I redeemed myself by cooking instant noodles for both of us instead. Can't go wrong with that one.

It is so bright and sunny today. And warm too.

Warm enough for ice-creams.

Warm enough for us to wear lesser than usual. Finally I get to wear my flowery shirt (baju bunga-bunga) and bermuda pants again. This was my usual "uniform" back in KL when we go out on weekends. And look, my wife out in the sun. You will never catch her out in the sun back home.....without an umbrella, or newspaper to shield herself. Over here, it's sunny, but the temperature is about 22-25 deg C. So it's very pleasant.

Warm enough to sit down and enjoy the sun and sights.

Warm enough to goof around

People everywhere enjoying the sun

and...Dandelion

Great weekend to be out before the start of another working week. At night, wife cooked "Drunken chicken". She poured half a bottle of sake into this.

I have no recollection of what happened afterwards.
