21st of March 2008 is supposed to be the first official day of Spring in Sweden. Instead, we seems to be experiencing what we missed during winter - SNOW!!! Suddenly snowed in the morning today. After a few hours of heavy snow, we decided to go out and play.
Gold medal for Best Snow Angel
Today had japanese food for dinner. A plate of 10-piece sushi costs 100kr. Yakiniku, 120kr. Really expensive to eat out. But never mind lah, once in a while, since we had a very happy day today.
When we reached home, I challenged my wife to walk in the snow barefooted. We also want to see who can stand still in the snow barefooted longer. We agreed I will go first, then it's her turn. Me, trying to stand for as long as I can.
I estimated I stood for less than 10 seconds. It was unbearable. I quickly gave up and ran into the house. My feet hurt so much, I collapsed.
About to pour hot water onto my legs to defrost them. My wife, of course decided not to try it herself, prefers to laugh at me instead.
Received more pictures of Shay Yen (our niece) from my brother today. This one looks really funny. Wife and I laughed so hard looking at this. Surrender?? Whatever??? PPPPPRRRPHHHTTTT!!!!!??? Her father must've tire her so much from taking photos. LOL!
It all started with me spotting a dotted line (indicating road under construction) from Tasik Kenyir to Gua Musang on the map I just got. I checked the date, map was printed in 2004. All this while the gang's been talking about the Gua Musang - Cameron Highland route. So I thought it's worth exploring this "new" route. Imagine a complete East - West ride/drive through scenic mountain roads: Tasik Kenyir - Gua Musang - Cameron Highland At the junction to Pengkalan Gawi. Turn left to get to Tasik Kenyir. The road to Gua Musang is right ahead. Less than 2 km away, I spotted sign to "Gua Musang". Further up front, this sign in red that says... "This road is not yet opened to the public. The Road Works Department will not be responsible for any inconvenience to road users" OK, this means I'm on my own if I decide to explore this. But then again, since when is the JKR responsible for "any" roads. Not as i...
First day at work today. First time wear suits to work. First time had to put on so many layers of clothes before leaving the house. And I'm still cold! Accenture office in Stockholm is located at Hötorget. I finally met Helena, the lady who's been helping with my transfer. I was given my security access card, a laptop, and a handphone. Yes, a handphone. Hehehe. According to Helena, the company will pay for the usage. My first question was, what about overseas call? Helena said the company will pay for all usage, even for international calls. But she advised me not to make too many personal overseas calls, otherwise the company may start to scrutinise my bill and take away this privilege. Afterall, the primary usage should be for work. I think a call or few SMS-es to my dearest sweetest loveliest Sharon (yes, I miss her THAT much) once in a while is okay. I still can webcam chat with her using the laptop. The company also provided me with a 3G modem. This thing, allows me...
Malaysia's ruling coalition lost 4 states on top of Kelantan to the opposition. They've been denied 2/3 majority by voters. The media reported that our PM is under increasing pressure to quit. Funny, because the only "increasing pressure" they quoted pressuring PM to quit is Dr M. Sometimes the media is also not impartial. They try to spin things their way. The worst thing for Abdullah to do now is quit. This is bad for himself, as well as for the country. Nobody should go out in shame. They should be given the opportunity to redeem themselves. Despite all the focus on things he has not done, or not done well, we should remember that he has done well in some areas too. So, be fair to him, especially when the majority decides to keep the government he leads. We should also stop the practice of asking someone to quit when he screw up. That's letting him off too lightly. He should be made to stay and fix his mistakes under greater scrutinization. I think t...
