At Humlegården (behind Kungliga Biblioteket (The Kungliga Library))
Guy selling Christmas tree at Humlegärden. Prices range from 150 to 600 SEK. Very friendly guy. He asked me whether am I Japanese. I think he looks more like Japanese himself. |
Walking in the middle of Karlavägen. It's a very long road where pedestrians walk in the middle instead of the two sides of the road.
One of the intersections, with X'mas decoration. Another public toilet. Got to pay 5SEK to use this. Another Christmas tree seller. First time see a Hummer and a Volvo XC90 together. Took this to compare sizes. |
Went to the Kaknästornet (The communication tower) today.
http://www.kaknastornet.se/ It's a 155m tower which allows visitors to go right up to the top to enjoy a panoramic view of Stockholm on a clear day. Unfortunately it was foggy today, so couldn't see much even though I did pay 30SEK to go to the top. I chose to walk there instead of taking the bus from town. It was a good decision. There's a pedestrian path where you can walk beside the river and soak up the scenery. Ice forming on stones. It's cold, but still not snowing. sigh.... Frozen part of the water. Other people bring out their 'Rocco' for walk and play. A view of The Kaknästornet from afar A view from the top of Kaknästornet. Can't see clear and far because it was foggy. |
After a visit to Kaknästornet, I walked back to town center. Christmas is in the air.
Cute ponnies for ride. 20SEK. Ice-skating rim with lots of teenagers enjoying themselves. |
My dear wife complained to me this morning how come I've not posted photos of myself. I know what you're thinking, dear. You want to 'check' have I gotten myself chubbier. Few days ago you told me you tend to eat a lot when it was cold in the US. You just want to know have I been eating more ever since I got here but dare not ask me directly. I know.................
But, being a good husband, I did as she requested, took a couple of photos of myself today. Opps...sorry. Interruption for a while. Note to self - somewhere along Karlavägen. OK, continue.... Opps, sorry another interruption. Another one along Karlavägen... Sorry sorry. Ok, continue.... OK lah OK lah, I know you want a close-up shot for more thorough scrutinization. Nah, scrutinize this. This is dedicated to NSPAM project mates who chipped in to get me the scarf and beanie. Now you know what I look like wearing them :p And this is me back at my apt, updating my blog, surfing web, charging my ipod nano, etc..... and still struggling to figure out how to use iTunes. Damn you, Rangga. Hahahaha. Thanks to all who chipped in to get me this iPod. When I'm home, listening to music already in it (Thanks Rangga) really soothes the loneliness. How hunnie, pass or fail? :p |
