Stockholm walkabout, again

Friday, after work, walk around some more. A view from Gamla Stan (Old Town). You can see how cold it is.

Is this Greenpeace office in Stockholm? I dunno. Lazy to ask.

No snow, but there's a mini ice-skating ring. Somewhere at Medbogarplatsen.

Soderhallarna. I found another asian shop in here, but sells nothing good.

This is what their public toilet looks like. You can identify one by the word "WC". This is free. In places like the Central Station and shopping mall, you got pay 5Kr to use the "WC".

Here's another free "WC".

Inside Soderhallarna, I saw a shop selling this. I thought 'Singapore Sling' is a cocktail. This one here looks like ginger and onion beef.

On Saturday, went out early (while there's daylight) to explore some more. Took the bus this time and discovered that there's a direct bus to Ikea. hehe. So, ape lagi. While walking to the bus stop, saw this Volvo C30. Never seen this back in SG or MY before.

When I reached Ikea, I realised there're more shops and a mall behind it. So decided to skip Ikea and explore the mall instead.
Inside the mall, saw some people distributing what looks like....free food! haha. Actually I see this almost everywhere I go. People giving out gingerbread biscuit and glögg, a hot wine.

Just so happened I was hungry, so I joined in the queue. Besides, I've never tried the biscuit and the hot wine before. Dip the biscuit inside the hot wine, it's surprisingly tasty eaten this way.

And I also saw what turns out to be self-service recycling stations. Bring all the empty bottles or cans you can find and get paid in return. 50 Ore each.

Next, check out the supermarket, ICA Kvantum. See what's available.
I like their basket, it has little wheels underneath so you can just pull it on the floor instead of having to carry it like in MY or SG. Of course, if you think you're going to buy a lot of stuff, then you can get the usual trolley instead.

Glögg for sale.

Oh look, they sell rice!

Oh look, some sambal to cook the rice with!
